The attacking midfielder’s contract in Almelo expires in the summer and he was mulling over offers from both Vitesse and Utrecht. On Sunday, Bruns confirmed his choice was to join Vitesse and he has signed a four-year-deal.

Bruns said on his choice, “Vitesse always place between 4th and 7th. There is a good team, which next year will remain virtually intact and I have reasonable chances of playing time. I think I can be a better player, ”

The 25-year-old has spent the last 6.5 years with Heracles and made over 160 league appearances, scoring 22 times. He also helped the club reach the KNVB Cup final in 2012.
