Despite a red card for Davy Propper, Vitesse managed to hold Twente to a 2-2 draw on Sunday evening.

Vitesse went into the match without a win in their last four matches, but they took the lead after 17 minutes when Marko Vejinovic’s corner caught out Twente keeper Nick Marsman and flew into the net.
Twente equalised just after the half hour mark through Jesus Corona, who tapped in Youness Mokhtar’s cross, but a minute later Arie van der Heijden restored Vitesse’s lead with a header.
Five minutes into the second half the match swung in Twente’s favour when Davy Propper took out Mokhtar in the box, earning himself a red card and allowed Hakim Ziyech to equalise from the spot.
Despite having an extra man Twente barely came close to finding a winner, and it was Vitesse who came the closest to finding a winner as Vejinovic’s free kick was kept out by Marsman.
The point sees Twente slip in the table this weekend to 6th while Vitesse are 11th.
