Vitesse Arnhem has moved level on points with Ajax at the top of the Eredivisie after a comfortable 4-1 win over Emmen.

Vitesse boss Thomas Letsch changed his attack for the game with Emmen as Thomas Buitink and Armando Broja started up front.

After only two minutes, Vitesse had the lead with Buitink capitalising on a poor pass from Ricardo van Rhijn to net. Oussama Tannane then doubled the lead after a smooth attack in the ninth minute.

Emmen then created chances and the closest they came was a Serio Pena strike against the woodwork just before the break. However, Vitesse added a third early in the second half through Broja after good work from Tannane.

Michael de Leeuw did pull one back for the hosts but Vitesse were comfortable and they added a fourth before the end with Patrick Voegh finding the bottom corner from outside the box.

The victory moves Vitesse level on points with Ajax, who face Feyenoord on Sunday. Emmen remains rooted to the bottom of the table.
