Vitesse Arnhem put in a weak performance as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Emmen.

The hosts started brightly with Riechedly Bazoer going close before Bryan Linssen netted the opener in the 19th minute. The winger scored with a stunning lobbed finish.

Vitesse had the ball in the net again before the break but Tim Matavz saw his goal ruled out for offside.

After the break, Emmen improved and Jafar Arias was unlucky to see his strike come crashing off the post. In the 58th minute it was 1-1 when Remko Pasveer could only parry a strike into the path of Michael de Leeuw, who headed in from close range.

Vitesse went in search for the winning goal but a series off efforts went off target as Emmen held on for a point.

Vitesse are now 6th with Emmen in 12th.
