Vitesse Arnhem have confirmed the loan signing of Chelsea right-back Fankaty Dabo.

The 21-year-old will join up with the Vitesse squad on Sunday as they begin their preparations for the new season after the Arnhem club announced his loan.

Technical Director of Vitesse, Mo Allach, told the official website, “With the departure of both Kevin Diks as Kelvin Leerdam was clear that something had to be done at the right back position. We have seen Fankaty at work several times. By his way of playing he aroused our interest. ”

Dabo is a product of the Chelsea youth academy but has no chance of first team football next season. He spent six months on loan with Swindon Town at the end of last season. Dabo is the third Vitesse signing of the summer after Thomas Bruns and Thulani Serero.
