With Lucas Piazon, Christian Atsu, Sam Hutchinson, Gael Kakuta, Patrick van Aanholt, and Crisitian Cuevas all on loan from the Premierl League side, Vitesse currently top the Eredivisie table.
The signing of Piazon has been a particularly great piece of business by the Arnhem side, with the Brazilian one of the stars of the Eredivisie season so far.
Coach Peter Bosz is in regular contact with Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo over the current loanee’s and does not rule out any more arriving.
He told Voetbal International, “We have regular contact with each other. Chelsea would like to know how their players are doing here. I think that’s only natural. It is also good to talk together.”
“It seems that we cannot buy anything this winter, but I do not rule out more renting. We will certainly talk about it.”
The relationship between the two clubs has come under criticism from other Eredivisie sides, but with no actual rules being broken, Vitesse are free to keep dipping into the London sides talent pool.
