Vitesse Arnhem ended their winless run on Saturday evening with a 3-0 victory at FC Twente.

Interim Vitesse boss Joseph Oosting saw his side draw 0-0 with Feyenoord last weekend. The trainer decided to hand youngster Patrick Vroegh his debut in Enschede.

The best chance of the first-half fell to Twente but Keito Nakamura could not score when through one on one with Remko Pasveer. The midfielder was then substituted before the break after picking up a yellow card.

Vitesse started the second half brightly and in the 51st minute they took the lead. A long ball by Pasveer set up Bryan Linssen to fire the visitors in front.

Ten minutes later, Nouha Dicko slotted through Joel Drommel’s legs to make it 2-0. Linssen then wrapped up the victory with another fine finish in the 72nd minute.

Vitesse now sit sixth after the victory while Twente are 12th.
