Vitesse Arnhem sporting director Joost de Wit spoke to the NOS after it was revealed that Vitesse Arnhem will only receive 1200 tickets for the Johan Cruyff Schaal.

The annual curtain raiser for Dutch football is set to be played in De Kuip on the 6th of August with cup winners Vitesse meeting league champions Feyenoord.
de Wit said on the ticket allocation, ”Without a doubt, I am disappointed with our ticket allocation. We are proud cup winners and from our perspective, we have a chance to battle for the Johan Cruyff Shield.
”To be told that we will only receive an allocation of 1200 tickets to play the reigning champions in a sold out an atmospheric De Kuip stadium is for us very sour indeed.
‘ The Johan Cruyff Schaal must be a football festival for two clubs and we are now in a situation where we are so far away from that.
”All sensible football fans who will watch the game in De Kuip will see that this game is not the football festival that everybody is waiting for in that respect.”
