After their win over PSV last weekend, Vitesse Arnhem looked to continue their excellent start to the season at Willem II, who have been struggling.
It was the hosts, who took the lead after 25 minutes when Che Nunnely tapped in a cross from Mike Trésor.
Just before the hour mark, Loïs Openda equalised with a lovely finish over Jorn Brondeel from a very difficult angle. Six minutes later, Armando Broja poked Vitesse Arnhem ahead after some clever footwork.
Willem II should have equalised through Vangelis Pavlidis, but the Greek striker failed to find the net. Derrick Kohn then hit the bar.
In the 85th minute, Patrick Vroegh sealed the victory for Vitesse with a strike from distance.
Vitesse have now won six out of seven games and remain on the same points as Ajax. Willem II are 13th.
