Friday night’s Eredivisie action saw Vitesse Arnhem and Utrecht battle to a 1-1 draw.

vit rickRicky van Wolfswinkel has rediscovered his scoring touch since his return to the Eredivisie and the forward netted his third in four games after 24 minutes. Milot Rashica raced down the right side before cutting the ball back for van Wolfswinkel to tap in from close range.

It should have been 2-0 before the break with Nathan sending van Wolfswinkel through on goal with a lovely ball, but the striker’s effort was poor and Robbin Ruiter pushed the ball to safety.

Utrecht, who are still searching for their first win of the season improved after the break and on 68 minutes they leveled the score. Giovanni Troupee’s cross was headed past Eloy Room by Sebastien Haller.

Richairo Zivkovic came off the bench for the visitors as they pushed for a winner, but neither side really threatened another goal and settled for a point apiece.

Vitesse move fourth after the draw, while Utrecht are 15th.
