Dutch midfielder Michel Vlap scored both goals as Anderlecht defeated Genk 2-0.

It’s been a horrible campaign for Anderlecht so far with their last victory coming a month-and-a-half-ago. On Sunday they welcomed champions Genk, who were also having a poor campaign.

Michal Vlap began the game and the Dutchman proved to be the hero for the home side by netting both goals in a 2-0 win.

Firstly in the 54th minute, Vlap received the ball from Jérémy Doku before firing it into the far corner. Seven minutes later, the former Heerenveen star doubled the hosts lead and settled the victory on the rebound after Chadli hit the post.

Anderlecht rise to tenth spot in the table with Vlap now scoring four goals in 14 matches.
