VVV Venlo struck twice in the opening half-an-hour as they came away from De Graafschap with a 2-1 victory.

The visitors started brightly and took the lead in the sixth minute with Ralf Seuntjens setting up Tino-Sven Susic, who finished past Hidde Jurjus with a controlled strike.

De Graafschap couldn’t get a grip on the game and into the 30th minute, Danny Post beat Jurjus with a strike from distance to make it 2-0 for VVV.

In the second half, De Graafschap improved but they had to wait until the 89th minute to pull one back through a Delano Burgzorg header. The home side then went in search for an equaliser which nearly came but Burgzorg was denied by the post.

VVV jump up to fourth in the table, while De Graafschap remains on four points in 14th.
