Wolfsburg striker Wout Weghorst has spoken out after being left out of the Netherlands squad again.

Frank de Boer named his squad for the November internationals earlier on Friday, but once again, Weghorst’s name was missing. He was in the provisional squad again, but Luuk de Jong, Memphis Depay, and Donyell Malen were preferred.

Speaking to Fox Sports, Weghorst couldn’t hide his frustration, “Since my debut, eighteen months ago, I no longer play a significant role at the Oranje.

“I am always in the pre-selection of thirty players, but I drop eighty percent of the time. Then I am one of the seven dropouts. That is extremely frustrating, because I want to be part of the Dutch national team. I want to be there every match. That motivates me to keep working, to keep improving. I have to get better so that I get that chance. “

Weghorst has four Netherlands caps to his name. He has four goals in ten games for Wolfsburg this season.
