Fox Sports reported that Arsene Wenger had offered himself to the KNVB after Ronald Koeman left to take on the Barcelona job.
However, speaking to BeIn Sports, Wenger has denied this and the 70-year-old stated he is happy with his job working with FIFA.
He said, “I believe there were some reports saying that I offered my availability to take the job, but I am not available.
“I work at FIFA and I work very hard and I didn’t speak to anybody. I don’t know where that news came from.”
On second thought perhaps that is what Oranje has been lacking all this while. We are very good up to excellent in 1988. After that uphill , downhill …maintain only second and third best in WC. Second best again in NL. We had all these with excellent Dutch head coach who only see Oranje from an Oranje point of view. That’s why perhaps we need an outsider to solve the missing puzzle. Think about it.
