The agent of Wesley Sneijder has quashed rumours that the midfielder could leave Galatasaray for Manchester United this summer.

sneijder asbSneijder has been linked with a move to Old Trafford every transfer window for the past four years, and the rumours have once again ignited after Netherlands boss Louis van Gaal took over at Manchester United.

However Sneijder’s agent Guido Albers has stated his client is happy to stay in Turkey, and that the 30-year-old will not be moving to England this summer.

Albers is quoted by Turkish-Football.com saying, “Rumours linking Sneijder with Manchester United are false,”

“Neither Sneijder or myself have had any contact with Manchester United.Van Gaal has not held any talks with me regarding a possible move to United.”

“These are just rumours, Sneijder loves Istanbul and his family have settled in there.”

“Sneijder is very happy at Galatasaray and has a great relationship with the club president Ünal Aysal.”

“Personally I think Galatasaray is a great club and we have had no talks with other clubs, Sneijder has a long contract and will definitely be continuing at Galatasaray.”
