The midfielder is coming into the last six months of his contract with Liverpool, who have been trying to get Wijnaldum to sign a new deal.
However, the Mirror is now reporting that Wijnaldum has made his decision to leave the Premier League champions. The Dutch international has decided he wants to join Ronald Koeman at Barcelona.
The Spanish giants wanted to sign Wijnaldum in the summer but could not complete the deal due to their finances.
The former Feyenoord and PSV Eindhoven star joined Liverpool from Newcastle United back in 2016. He has made 211 appearances for the club so far, scoring 21 goals and adding 16 assists.
Never scored enough goals for Liverpool, should have worn his goal scoring boots from the Dutch National Team. Thanks for your contribution but he’ll be easily replaced.
