Georginio Wijnaldum was frustrated after Liverpool were held to a 0-0 draw by Bayern Munich in their Champions League first leg clash at Anfield.

Liverpool played well in the game but could not take an advantage into their second leg, which will take place in Munich next month.

After the game Wijnaldum was frustrated that Liverpool couldn’t take their chances. He told Veronica, “It’s very annoying, it is positive that we did not concede a goal, but we were unhappy in finishing the chances, normally one will go in, but not today, you hope, but it did not happen.”

Virgil van Dijk missed the game due to suspension and Wijnaldum missed his Dutch teammate, “We did well in the back, but it’s easier when Virgil is there, he has proven that since he played at Liverpool. It just makes things easier.”

Wijnaldum was asked if he thought the Premier League title was more important than the Champions League. He responded, “No, we want to participate on all fronts, I think it’s more than alive with the people in Liverpool.”
