Georginio Wijnaldum is relaxed over his future with Liverpool despite no talks taking place at the moment over a new deal.

The Dutch international has been a key part of Jurgen Klopp’s squad this season as Liverpool look set to win the Premier League.

However, Wijnaldum’s current contract expires in the summer of 2021 and so far no discussions have taken place on a new deal.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Wijnaldum said on his future, “I’m just focusing on bringing this season to a good end and that’s the only thing I’m thinking of.

“What would I like? It is difficult to say. It depends on what the club wants and how the situation is at that time. We will see.”

Sky then asked the midfielder if it would be difficult to leave Anfield, “Yes, it’s like home.”

The 29-year-old has been with Liverpool since joining from Newcastle United in 2016.
