Frank de Boer indicated before the draw with Spain that the players who play 90 minutes in the friendly will not start against Bosnia and Herzegovina on Sunday.
However, Wijndal is hoping to be the exception to the rule after an impressive performance on Wednesday.
The AZ star told Algemeen Dagblad, “I am top fit. Let the national coach decide how he will do in the coming games, but I’m ready. I don’t feel tired at all, despite having covered eleven kilometers. I usually do that in games.”
Wijndal has competition from Patrick van Aanholt and Daley Blind to start on Sunday.
He’s a real left back he did a great job hope he play again welldone owen
Impressive. But I would love to see Jetro Willems back in squad should he find a decent top club and playing regularly with good form. Either Blind or PVA should start. Wijndal as a back-up.
