Willem II failed to reclaim third spot after being held to a 0-0 draw by PEC Zwolle in Tilburg.

Willem II have been a revelation in the Eredivisie this season but they were knocked out of the KNVB Cup by Heerenveen in midweek.

Against PEC Zwolle, the hosts looked to get back to winning ways but they were frustrated in a poor first half. Mike Tresor Ndayishimiye got the best chance in the first half but he couldn’t break the deadlock.

In the second half, Willem II continued to push but even after Tomas Lam was sent off for a last-man challenge on Che Nunnely, they could not find a winning goal.

Willem II now drops down a place to fourth while PEC Zwolle are 16th.
