The Brabantse derby between Willem II and NAC Breda ended in a 1-1 draw on Friday evening.

NAC Breda started the game on top but Thierry Ambrose headed a good chance wide before Rai Vloet shot off-target from the edge of the 16-yard box.

Just before the break, Willem II took the lead when a corner fell to the feet of Bartholomew Ogbech and the in-form striker fired in his seventh of the season.

Early in the second half, Pedro Chirivella misjudged a cross by Fabian Sporkslede and Thierry Ambrose was on hand to net the equaliser for NAC.

Willem II had the better chances to achieve victory but Ogbeche fired over the bar and Thom Haye saw a long-range effort kept out by Nigel Bertrams.

The point means Willem II remain 14th with NAC one place below.
