PSV and Ajax have been battling for the signature of Willem II midfielder Frenkie De Jong this summer, and it appears the youngster has opted for a move to Amsterdam.

According to De Telegraaf, De Jong has decided on a move to Ajax and has made his choice known to Willem II. However a fee still needs to be agreed between the two clubs before the deal can go any further.
PSV seemed to be favourites to sign the 18-year-old at the start of this summer, but they were unwilling to match Willem II’s asking price, allowing Ajax to swoop.
De Jong made his Willem II debut in the Eredivisie last season, and is regarded as one of the finest young midfielders in the Netherlands.
