Willem II made it eight league games in a row without a win as they were held to a 1-1 draw by RKC Waalwijk.

RKC had the better of the first half and that resulted in the lead just before the break. Melle Meulensteen was brought down and Anas Tahiri scored the resulting penalty kick. He then revealed a message for his deceased Nephew and was visibly upset.

Just before the hour-mark, Willem II equalised with Kwasi Wriedt netting from a Mats Köhlert cross.

Willem II pushed for a winner but RKC’s defence remained strong and held on for a point.

Willem II sits 16th while RKC are one spot above them.
