Jetro Willems is set to continue his career in the Premier League with Newcastle United close to agreeing a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt for the left-back.

Willems has been with Eintracht Frankfurt for two seasons after leaving PSV Eindhoven, but he has been given permission to depart the club’s training ground to wrap up a move to Newcastle United.

According to Voetbal International, Newcastle have yet to agree a fee with Eintracht Frankfurt but that is not set to be an issue. Some reports in England claim it will be a loan with an option to make it permanent.

The 25-year-old made 36 appearances, mostly from the bench, for Eintracht Frankfurt last season but only contributed two assists.
