Zeegelaar joined Sporting Lisbon last January and impressed enough with the Portuguese side in the first half of the season to earn his first call-up to the Dutch national team.
Now it appears the 26-year-old is on his way to England after Championship side Norwich City agreed a fee of €3.5 million plus bonuses with Sporting, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola. Crystal Palace are also interested but Norwich City are reportedly the firm favourites.
Zeegelaar played for Ajax, Excelsior, Espanyol, Elazığspor and Rio Ave before joining Sporting Lisbon. He made 15 appearances for the club this season including five in the Champions League.
