Italian side Spezia has confirmed the signing of PSV Eindhoven goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet on a two-year deal.

The 29-year-old arrived in Italy on Sunday to discuss personal terms with the new Serie A side and has now completed his move to Spezia.

Zoet had little chance of playing time with PSV Eindhoven with Yvon Mvogo and Lars Unnerstall ahead of him in the pecking order. He leaves having made 260 appearances for the club.

Speaking to the club website, Zoet said, “I grew up here, I won awards and now is the time to take the next step. I will miss PSV in all respects, but at the same time I am looking forward to pushing my boundaries in another country.”
