Bobby Adekanye provided a goal and assist as Go Ahead Eagles defeated Fortuna Sittard 2-0 in Limburg.

Both sides were missing players for the clash in Limburg with Dimitrios Siovas and Arianit Feratiย out for the hosts, while Go Ahead Eagles had to do without Philippe Rommens (injured) and Evert Linthorst (sick).

Go Ahead Eagles had the better of the game and the lead came halfway through the first half as Bobby Adekanye set up Bas Kuipers for a tap-in. Before half-time, Adekanye was played in on goal and he fired in a second for the visitors.

Thomas Buitink was brought off the bench for his Fortuna debut but it made no difference in the second half as the hosts struggled to get back into the game.

Go Ahead Eagles took the points but they lost Adekanye and Kuipers to injuries before the end.

Fortuna Sittard is in 12th while Go Ahead Eagles are in 9th.
