After eight straight Eredivisie matches without a win, ADO Den Haag boss Zeljko Petrovic decided to load his attack for the home game with Willem II, as both Mike Havenaar and Dennis van der Heijden started up front.
The home side started brightly with Kostas Lamprou having to tip Mike Havenaar’s shot onto the post in the fourth minute, but that was the only highlight during a dull first half.
After the break ADO Den Haag dominated and eventually on the hour mark they took the lead with Tom Beugelsdijk heading in a corner on his 100th appearance for the club.
Willem II failed to mount a comeback and ADO Den Haag held on comfortably to record their first win since the 19th of August. The victory lifts ADO Den Haag up to 9th while Willem II are 15th.
