van duinen dhfkThe home side got off to a blistering start after only five minutes, as Tom Beugelsdijk’s ball forward set Mike van Duinen through on goal, and the striker netted with the outside of his boot.

On 12 minutes it was 2-0 with defender Danny Bakker getting above his marker to head a corner past Go Ahead keeper Stephan Andersen.

Go Ahead were struggling to make their mark, but were handed a luck lifeline when Gianni Zuiverloon deflected the ball into his own net to make it 2-1 before the half hour mark.

ADO Den Haag restored their two goal gap seven minutes into the second half through Roland Alberg, who finished at the back post after some terrible defending by the away side.

Substitute Marnix Kolder’s header made it 3-2, but it proved nothing more than a consolation as ADO Den Haag held on for the three points.

The win lifts ADO Den Haag up to 13th place, while Go Ahead Eagles sit a place above them, but only two points off the bottom three.
