The 28-year-old joins ADO Den Haag from Finnish side HJK Helsinki and is the replacement for the departed duo Mike van Duinen and Michiel Kramer.
Havenaar previously spent three-years in the Eredivisie with Vitesse Arnhem, scoring 26 league goals in 76 league games, before leaving for Spanish side Cordoba in 2014. His time in Spain was disappointing, with the forward making only five appearances, before leaving for Helsinki last January.
The Japanese international netted four times in 15 games for the Finnish side.
