Since Fons Groenendijk resigned a few weeks ago, assistant coach Dirk Heesen has taken charge on a temporary basis as they look for a new permanent coach.
Martin Jol and Maurice Steijn were the leading candidates but both have turned down the position.
According to Voetbal International and Sky Sports, ADO Den Haag have now turned their attentions to Pardew, with talks already underway with the Englishman.
It is being reported that Pardew would only be appointed on a short-term basis until the end of the campaign.
The former Reading, West Ham United, Charlton Athletic, Southampton, and Newcastle United boss has been out of work since leaving West Brom last season.
