Nasser El Khayati netted a 91st-minute penalty to give ADO Den Haag a 2-1 win over Willem II in the Kyocera Stadion.

The hosts started the game brightly and went close through Nasser El Khayati twice while Lex Immers saw a shot fly just wide of the post.

ADO Den Haag laid siege to the Willem II goal but couldn’t take their chances and Willem II made them pay just before the break with Fran Sol firing in the opener.

The second half was much like the first with ADO Den Haag fully in control and eventually, it resulted in an equaliser with twenty minutes left. El Khayati’s cross was powerfully headed into the net by Bjorn Johnson.

The game was heading for a draw but in the last minute, Konstantinos Tsimikas was brought down in the box and El Khayati netted from the spot to give ADO Den Haag all three points.

The victory keeps ADO Den Haag in 8th place while Willem II are 14th.
