FC Twente were unable to agree a new contract with the 25-year-old, who captained the club last season.
ADO Den Haag have swooped quickly to sign Bijen on a free transfer. He signs a two-year deal with the option of a third.
Bijen told the club’s website, “I am proud to be able to sign at ADO Den Haag.
“This feels like a good next step for me, with which I want to develop myself as a player and as a person. Together with the team, the staff and the club, I hope to be able to take great steps in the coming seasons. And of course also with the fans, who always create a nice atmosphere and stand for passion and struggle. I recognise that in myself. I always give 100%. I can’t wait to do that in the shirt of ADO Den Haag. “
Bijen has been with FC Twente for 14 years and made 144 appearances for the club, scoring 12 goals.
