ADO Den Haag have confirmed the signing of Heart of Midlothian striker Bjorn Johnsen.

The Norwegian signed a three-year contract on Monday after ADO Den Haag agreed an undisclosed fee with Scottish side Heart of Midlothian. He joins as a replacement for Mike Havenaar, who has returned to Japan.

Johnsen told the official ADO website, “I really like this challenge.

“It means a lot for me to play in the Eredivisie at ADO The Hague. Many players, like Lex Immers, have broken through here. I want to be important for the team with goals and assists every week. I have a positive feeling about what we can achieve next year with ADO Den Haag.”

The 25-year-old scored six goals during his year-long stay in Edinburgh. Before that he played for clubs such as Atlético Baleares,  Louletano, Atlético CP and Litex Lovech
