Two goals in the opening six minutes saw ADO Den Haag stun Vitesse 2-0 in Arnhem.

It’s been a hectic week for Vitesse, who were without Riechedly Bazoer for Saturday’s clash after the midfielder clashed with both Jay-Roy Grot and coach Leonid Slutsky during a training session.

ADO Den Haag went into the clash on the back of five straight defeats but after only two minutes, Crysencio Summerville opened the scoring after Remko Pasveer denied Lex Immers.

Four minutes later, Immers made it 2-0 with a strike from the edge of the box after being found by Elson Hooi.

Vitesse went looking for a way back into the game but Danilho Doekhi headed wide, while Tim Matavz had an effort cleared off the line.

In the second half, Matavz did have the ball in the net but the striker was in an offside position. Slutsky turned to youngster Thomas Buitink, but he could not find a way past goalkeeper Luuk Koopmans.

The surprising victory sees ADO Den Haag rise out of the relegation zone and into 15th place. Vitesse stay third.
