Adrie Koster spoke to the NOS upon his appointment as the new Willem II manager.

Koster has signed a one year deal in Tilburg with the option of an extension in the future.

He said, ”I came back to Willem II because 32 years ago my managerial career started here as an assistant and I worked here for 5 years.

”I have special memories of my time here and Willem II is a great club.

”In football life can be hectic. I have signed a one year deal with the intention of staying longer. We will evaluate year on year.

”30 years ago Willem II was still a great club and a lot has changed but I want to prove my worth and achieve something with Willem II.

”Willem II want to become even more professional as a football club and we must work together and we are going to do our best to achieve that.

”We want to win here at Willem II and entertain the fans and play attractive football and I believe that is possible.

”I am delighted to be back in Tilburg because Willem II are a fantastic club.”

Koster previously managed among others Ajax, Club Brugge, RKC Waalwijk and Netherlands U21’s
