Dutch national team manager Dick Advocaat spoke to the NOS upon arrival at Aberdeen airport in Scotland.

The former Rangers boss spoke about being back in Scotland and also stated the friendly on Thursday is important for the Oranje players to show they want to be part of the national team set up heading into the Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Advocaat said, ”I am pleased to be back in Scotland. This country is where I spent the happiest time of my career. My 5 years at Glasgow Rangers was fantastic.

”We won 5 trophies in two years. It was a fantastic time.

”The friendly game against Scotland is important for the players to show that they want to remain in the Dutch national team setup.
