According to several reports Sunderland Manager Dick Advocaat flew home to Holland last night after reportedly resigning from his post.

The exit for the manager comes after the departure of Sporting Director Lee Congerton and the announcement from the club is expected today according to the Daily Mail.
It is believed that the 68 year old informed Ellis Short of his decision during the week.
This is what he had to say after Sunderland’s 2-2 draw with West Ham United, “I don’t want to discuss my own future, you will hear one way or the other. Let’s wait and see.
“It has nothing to do with this game. Yes. I have made a decision on my future.
“I am still manager today and tomorrow.”
