Dick Advocaat has been presented as the new head coach of ADO Den Haag.

The 75-year-old comes in to replace Dirk Kuyt, who was sacked after a terrible start to the campaign which sees ADO Den Haag sit 17th in the table.

Advocaat seemed to have retired again after a short spell with the Iraq national team in 2021 but he has been lured back into management by the Keuken Kampioen Divisie side.

Speaking to the club’s website, Advocaat said, “No one expected this, including me. But you can expect anything from me. I have already said a number of times that I would stop, but I also came back to that. When I got the call, I couldn’t help it, that feeling came suddenly.”

ADO Den Haag will be the 25th job in management for Advocaat.
