Ajax’s U17’s have lifted the prestigious Future Cup trophy after a 2-0 victory over Juventus in the final on Monday afternoon.

On Monday morning, Ajax overcame Anderlecht on penalties in the semi-final to set up a meeting with Juventus, who defeated Sporting Lisbon 2-1.

Ajax dominated the first half against the Italians and eventually took the lead just before the break when 14-year-old Naci Ünüvar skillfully beat two defenders before slotting the ball into the net.

Both sides missed chances early in the second half, but ten minutes before the end, Ünüvar sealed the trophy for Ajax with a powerful strike from outside the area.

Ajax lifted the trophy for the second year in a row, while the exceptionally talented Ünüvar was tournament top scorer with five goals.
