Ajax striker Sontje Hansen has signed a new deal with the club until 2023.

The 18-year-old made his first-team debut last season and is seen as one of the most talented young forwards coming through at the club.

Clubs such as Manchester City, Juventus, and Bayern Munich were all said to be circling Hansen, and a delay in signing a new deal led to speculation that he could leave. However, Ajax announced on Tuesday that Hansen had signed a new deal, committing him to the club until 2023.

Hansen is the latest Ajax talent to commit his future to the club after Ryan Gravenberch, Devyne Rensch, Naci Ünüvar, Kenneth Taylor and Jurriën Timber.
