boilesen jaSerero, Boilsen and Duarte are all no longer wanted at the club and have been placed up for sale.

Lerin Duarte joined Ajax in August 2013 from Heracles Almelo for a sum of €2.5m and has made only 14 appearances since signing, scoring 3 goals. Duarte spent 2014-15 on loan at fellow Eredivisie team sc Heerenveen. The 25-year-old has failed to impress during his spell at the club, struggling to stake his claim as a first-team player.

Thulani Serero has been at Ajax for four years now and his playing ability has improved in this period. However, the South African midfielder was left out of the squad for Ajax’s trip to Rapid Vienna which left his future in jeopardy at the club as he appears to be surplus to requirements. Serero has been at the centre of much media speculation on where his next destination will be. Whilst he has not yet left the club, it appears increasingly likely that he may depart Ajax before the window closes. Serero has played 74 league games for the Amsterdam giants, scoring 7 goals.

Nicolai Boilesen has been at the club since he was a teenager after joining from Brondby and working his way through Jong Ajax before earning a first-team place. Boilesen has made a total of 72 appearances for the club, playing primarily at left-back. He had been a regular starter for the club winning four successive titles between 2010 and 2014 however a poor season for the 23-year-old in 2014-15 has left him under heavy criticism and he’s been told that he can leave. Aston Villa are one of the clubs interested however their interest has cooled since signing Jordan Amavi from Nice.

Ajax expect no more signings and are just looking to let go of players who are now surplus to requirements. The club do not believe they need to replace any of the sold players and are confident of having a good season.
