Chelsea tried to sign the Moroccan in the summer but were told no by Ajax, who wanted to keep their key-man at least until the end of the season.
However, the two clubs have continued talking and according to Voetbal International, a verbal agreement has been reached for the summer. A deal between €40-45 million has been negotiated and Ziyech will head to the Premier League next season.
The 26-year-old has remained loyal to Ajax for the past two summers and always stated he would only leave for a club that felt right. Chelsea have proved to be the side that lures the playmaker away from Amsterdam.
Ziyech joined Ajax from FC Twente in 2016 and has made 159 appearances for the club so far, scoring 48 goals and adding 82 assists.
