De Boer stated last week that he had made a choice on his future with Ajax and would hold discussions with the club after the season ended on Sunday.
A decision is expected this week but as of Wednesday, there was still no news on the coaches future, and according to NOS the Ajax board have differing opinions on whether De Boer should stay or go.
A report on their website states that one director is hoping that De Boer remains while another is happy to see him leave, with Everton and Valencia both possible destinations.
Ajax leave for a training camp in China on Friday and Edwin van der Sar confirmed to NOS that De Boer would take charge of the side during their trip. However, over the next few days firm news is expected on whether De Boer, who has a contract until 2017, will be in charge next season.
