Ajax are set to miss out on signing Martin Ødegaard this summer with the midfielder set to sign for Bayer Leverkusen.

The Norwegian, who spent last season on loan at Vitesse Arnhem, was one of Ajax’s top targets this summer and they were hopeful of reaching a loan agreement with Real Madrid.
However, Ajax must now look elsewhere with Voetbal International reporting that Ødegaard is on the verge of joining Bayer Leverkusen.
The 20-year-old was spotted in Germany with his agent on Thursday and is expected to wrap up the deal shortly.
