According to Voetbal International a delegation from Ajax was present at the U21 European Championships to take a look at Czech Republic U21’s striker Vaclav Kadlec.

kadlec spajaAjax coach Frank de Boer, director Marc Overmars, and financial director Jeroen Slop were all present during the Czech Republic U21’s 4-0 hammering of Serbia on Saturday to observe Kadlec in action. However their viewing was short lived as the 23-year-old was forced off after half an hour with an ankle problem, which will rule Kadlec out for the rest of the tournament.

Kadlec is currently with German club Eintracht Frankfurt, but spent the end of last season on loan with former club Sparta Prague. The nine time Czech international netted nine goalsĀ in 13 league games during the loan spell.

PSV were heavily linked with the forward last January, but it seems Ajax are now considering a move to bolster their attack with Kolbeinn Sigthorsson being linked with a move away from the Amsterdam Arena.
