Ajax will pay Southampton an initial €11.4 million for the Serbian international but the deal could rise to €13.7 million through various bonuses.
Tadic is currently preparing for Serbia’s final World Cup group with Brazil on Wednesday and will sign a four-year deal in Amsterdam once his tournament is over.
Marc Overmars told the club’s website, “The arrival of Dusan Tadic means a considerable quality impulse for our selection, he can be deployed in multiple positions, both in the midfield and in the front, and his experience is also important for the many young talents we have in the selection.”
The 29-year-old previously played for Groningen and FC Twente before joining Southampton in 2014.

A super player for our club Ajax..this year we must be a champions…in my and Dusan words..Dusan dobro nam došao u največji klub Ajax Amsterdam..
Great player. Very unusual for somebody to leave the premier league for the eredivisie in the prime of their career.
Great news for Ajax and rare to see a player of this caliber move to the Eredivise before he reaches 30. He’ll give them a lot more experience and consistency on the wing than Kluivert did.
If Ajax can hang on to FDJ and (though it may be a long shot) De Ligt, they should target reaching the group stage of the UCL.
Domestically, they really need to win the league this year.
