Mohammed Kudus is officially an Ajax player after the Amsterdammers confirmed the Ghanaian’s arrival.

The 19-year-old has signed a five-year deal in Amsterdam after Ajax agreed a fee reported to be €9 million with FC Nordsjaelland.

Kudus, who can play as an attacking midfielder or further forward, made 57 appearances for FC Nordsjaelland, scoring 14 goals and adding three assists.

The Ghanaian international was being tracked by several clubs around Europe such as Manchester United and Borussia Monchengladbach. However, it is Ajax that have won the race to sign the talented youngster.

Kudus is the third Ajax signing of the summer after Antony and Maarten Stekelenburg.
