Ajax have pulled further away from the chasing pack at the top of the Eredivisie after a simple 5-0 victory over ADO Den Haag.

Ajax went into the game without both Sebastian Haller and Jurrien Timber due to corona, with Brian Brobbey coming into start the game.

On paper, the game was a mismatch and that is how it proved to be with Ajax racing into a 4-0 lead by half-time. Devyne Rensch opened the scoring in the eleventh minute before the right-back set up Brian Brobbey to net a second from close range.

Edson Alvarez netted his first Eredivisie goal of the season in the 32nd minute, tapping in after Davy Klaassen had an effort cleared from the line. Rensch then got his second assist of the half, this time setting up Dusan Tadic to add a fourth.

Tadic was then given a break with Oussama Idrissi coming on for the second half, which saw Klaassen add the fifth goal in the 50th minute.

Ten Hag then made a host of changes with Lassina Traore, Perr Schuurs and Zakaria Labyad getting some playing time. The score remained the same with Ajax failing to add further goals despite chances.

For ADO Den Haag it was another worrying defeat and they sit bottom of the table. Ajax are eleven points clear at the top with a game in hand.
