According to the American version of the Metro, Ajax are favourites to sign American talent Erik Palmer-Brown.

The 20-year-old defender, who currently plays for Sporting Kansas City, recently impressed playing for the USA in the U20 World Cup, gaining interest from several European clubs.
According to the New York Metro, Ajax are the favourites to sign the youngster, but face competition from PSV, Chelsea, Porto, PSG and Manchester City. Should the centre-back go to either Chelsea or Manchester City, he could end up in the Eredivisie anyway with loans to Vitesse and NAC Breda lined up.
Palmer-Brown has made 10 MLS appearances for Sporting Kansas City, while he spent part of last season on loan with Porto’s B team.
